This summer National Coastwatch extended its remit to include supporting the public in staying safe along our shores, as well as keeping 'Eyes Along the Coast'. Using the key messages of the 'Respect the Water' Campaign.
The purpose of the National Coastwatch Coastal & Water Safety initiative is to offer friendly and helpful safety information to the public, providing key safety messages and local information to help them take safe decisions and actions so ‘stay safe along the coast’.
Various National Coastwatch stations worked closely with our Search and Rescue partners to deliver the key water safety messages.
